Initial Class Quest
Reoseans get their first low class through the Initial Class Quest (referred to as ICQ) and cannot start questing until they go through this. Read about the jobs and their individual stats on this page - and pick one for your Reosean.
To successfully complete the ICQ, you will need to draw/write about a certain task!

ICQ Perks:
- Getting a low class allows Reoseans to start questing and collecting items.
- ICQ is the first step in building your Reosean the way you want them to be! After they complete the ICQ, they can then quest as their respective class and receive bonuses from it until they can approach learning one of their two High Class Tasks afterwards!
- Highlighted below are the classes and prompts you can find on this page!

ICQ Rules:
♦ Submissions are to be posted on DeviantART, Sta.sh or the World of Reos Lorekeeper!
♦ The art will be compared to the rest of the artist's gallery. It needs to be comparative in effort, not per se in style. Mods reserve the right to deny submissions that don't follow the listed rules and requirements. If your submission has been denied and you would like to dispute that denial, please note the group (not Reos-Empire, as we do not check those as often).
♦ You may draw your Reosean on any continent, save for Hunter and Traveler who have to be drawn on their own.
♦ Hunter ICQs cannot be re-used for hunting entries.
♦ Only 3 reoseans per an entry.
♦ As a CORE activity, this cannot be combined with an Quest/Hunt Activity.

Images must be...
♦ Fullbody, colored, shaded, with a background, at least 500x500 in size.
♦ At least 75% (four bodily sections) of the Reoseans being judged for their training must be visible. Any companions not being judged for training must be at least 50% (three bodily sections) visible.
♦ If prey is required for the prompt, it must be at least 50% visible.

♦ Backgrounds should have at least separate 3 elements in them aside from the ground/sky. Clustered elements of the same type (such as many rocks stacked together) count as 1 element.
-- Correct Elements: Rocks, foliage, water, mountains, clouds, trees, moons, grass that is clearly separate from the ground (i.e. brown grass sticking out of snow) etc. -- Incorrect Elements: Sun, the ground, grass that is just an extension of the ground, sky. -- For an element to count, it must have some level of detail to it - meaning it needs some form of shading, lines, etc at the minimum- flat blobs of color will not count for elements. See the example to the right! -- Stock textures copy-pasted over the image will not count for detail. The elements themselves must have some hand drawn detail. -- Stamp brushes are allowed, but if these are used as elements they must still follow the depth and texture rules above (ex. if you use a tree stamp brush, you will need to hand draw some detail onto it for it to count as an element). |
♦ Reoseans should follow the laws of gravity; no floating reoseans just to fit extras into the image.
♦ Reosean markings need to be recognizably placed and shaped in comparison to where they are on the vayron's import (ex. randomly placed blobs for merle will not be accepted, they don't have to be perfect but they should be in a similar size and shape to those on the import).
♦ 'Stick Figures' will not be accepted, some amount of muscle or joint definition should be visible. Reoseans must also at least have their core features visible, such as Eyes, Mouth, Paws, Markings and their identifiable traits (tail and ears)

Literature must be...
♦ At least 1000 words.
♦ Reosean must be actively present in 75% of the piece.
♦ Lit entries need to have separated paragraphs instead of single continuous wall of text. It is incredibly difficult for the admins reviewing the entry to read a solid wall of text!
♦ As with art entries, lit entries can be denied in the case of low quality; no noticeable plot, using the same adjectives over and over again to make up word count, etc. Thesaurus.com is a fantastic resource if you're looking for words!

Prompts
♦ Messenger: Delivers important missives and packages. Kind of a step up from a regular postman, for those that can't wait for the usual post collection, where their package or missive needs to be delivered right away.
__ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean receiving, running or delivering the package/missive for their client. Formerly: Messenger/Carrier ________________________________________________________ ♦ Hunter: A provider of meats and sometimes security. A hunter is quick on its feet and always on watch for the best chance to catch prey, be it a speedy bunny or a thief on the run. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean stalking, hunting or carrying a successful kill. The prey animal must be small sized. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Traveller: The call of adventure is hard to ignore and young and old will sometimes venture beyond what they know to the world outside their hometown or village. Experience earned from embracing this curiosity will either lead them down two paths, one of thrills, or one of trade. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean travelling through their native continent. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Thrall: In every nation there is a seedy underside. The underground that everyone knows about and Thralls are the pawns. How they got to this point is wildly varied from Reosean to Reosean, but they are all fighting for their lives. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean finding themselves in trouble, or readying for a fight. This can be against another Reosean, or a large prey animal from any list. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Guard: Also the City Guard, peacekeepers and under other names they function all the same; keeping the peace and prosperity of the town/city they work in. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean guarding a home, gate, or another person. |
♦ Hauler: Things always need to be transported and no one does it better than a Hauler. Trusted by Merchants and often best friends of Peddlers, they work hard carrying goods wherever they need to go.
__ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean carrying a number of packs tied to them, or pulling a cart laden with goods behind them. Formerly: Puller ________________________________________________________ ♦ Escort: Escorts are hard working Reoseans that find themselves often in the front lines or out at sea. Often part of armies that are not quite soldiers but not mercenaries, they tend to make up the largest part of the basic contingents, guiding armies and civilians alike. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean guiding others through their native continents terrain. These could be forests in Warrenfall, an oasis in Thedale or a mountain pass in Roenden. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Scholar: The study of the magical arts is something that takes a lifetime to learn and master. Sparking might be a Reoseans first step into the world of magical possibility, but some will dedicate their lives to its study and utility. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean discovering something new in the world of magic. This could be from a paper source, or another person that has taken them under their wing. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Healer: Every town has a healer, sometimes relying on magic to heal, others rely on herbs and medical science. While bands of Healers can often be seen having heated debates on what form of healing is better [theirs, most definitely!] Both are often equally viable and where there is something one cannot heal, the other more than ready to help. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean aiding another by binding their wounds. ________________________________________________________ ♦ Thief: Sometimes life gives you sour fruit. Thieves are those that fell by the wayside of most civilizations, sometimes falling from fame or just born into need. No matter how they got there, all thieves have a strict code of conduct and some even have their own language. Stealing is only part of how they can survive, and even thrive in the underground. __ Prompt:- Draw or write your Reosean stealing from another. This could be stealing from a stall, or making their way through another’s house to find their valuables! |
