General Rules and Info
♦ Collaborations are welcome - in the case of collabs, it is required to put down who has done what!
♦ Items obtained from hunts can be traded and sold between users.
♦ Leasing, as per the game's main rules, is not allowed.
♦ A maximum of two different prey animals is allowed per each hunting entry. Each will be rolled individually and they need to be of a different species to count.
♦ List of prey are divided into categories; Mammal, Aquatic, Reptile, Avian, Mythical. You no longer need to be hunting in a certain continent to get certain prey.
♦ You may hunt on any of the continents. Just remember that the image will not receive a CP bonus for corresponding background if your Reosean is not from that continent.
♦ Companions are optional.
♦ It is up to the original artist to correct any images that have been deemed unrollable. You MAY NOT edit or crop the image to make it passable.
♦ One entry per a comment. If your entry has 2 different prey animals then both will be rolled within the same submission comment.
♦ Submissions are to be posted on DeviantART, Sta.sh or the World of Reos Lorekeeper! These entries will be commented on once they are rolled.
♦ FOR ENTRIES THAT WERE DRAWN UNDER THE 'OLD" RULES: All Activity Rolls uploaded (either to dA, Sta.sh or WoR-Keeper) prior to 26th of January 2021 that do not follow the updated AR requirements can be redeemed until April 30th, 2021, after which they cannot be redeemed for loot anymore.

Image Requirements♦ Images must be full body (at least four bodily sections showing), colored, and shaded with a background, at least 500x500 in size.
♦ At least 50% of the prey must be visible. Prey must be clearly recognizable. ♦ Backgrounds should have at least separate 3 elements in them aside from the ground/sky. Clustered elements of the same type (such as many rocks stacked together) count as 1 element. -- Correct Elements: Rocks, foliage, water, mountains, clouds, trees, moons, grass that is clearly separate from the ground (i.e. brown grass sticking out of snow) etc. -- Incorrect Elements: Sun, the ground, grass that is just an extension of the ground, sky. -- For an element to count, it must have some level of detail to it - meaning it needs some form of shading, lines, etc at the minimum- flat blobs of color will not count for elements. See the example to the right! -- Stock textures copy-pasted over the image will not count for detail. The elements themselves must have some hand drawn detail. -- Stamp brushes are allowed, but if these are used as elements they must still follow the depth and texture rules above (ex. if you use a tree stamp brush, you will need to hand draw some detail onto it for it to count as an element). ♦ Reoseans should follow the laws of gravity; no floating reoseans just to fit extras into the image. ♦ Reosean markings need to be recognizably placed and shaped in comparison to where they are on the vayron's import (ex. randomly placed blobs for merle will not be accepted, they don't have to be perfect but they should be in a similar size and shape to those on the import). ♦ 'Stick Figures' will not be accepted, some amount of muscle or joint definition should be visible. Reoseans must also at least have their core features visible, such as Eyes, Mouth, Paws, Markings and their identifiable traits (tail and ears) |
Activity roll art will be compared to the rest of the artist's gallery (or main gallery, should you choose to upload your rolls into a side account). It needs to be comparative in effort, not per-se in style. Purposefully degrading your activity roll quality/style over a longer period of time just to draw faster and with less effort will result in a strike and 3 month ban from ARs. Art submitted to ARPG side accounts will still be compared to the main gallery. If you're using a side account, the main gallery’s link/username needs to be in the Hunting/Questing tracker. Mods reserve the right to deny submissions that don't follow the listed rules and requirements. If your submission has been denied and you would like to dispute that denial, please note the group (not Reos-Empire, as we do not check those as often). |
♦ You may have a maximum of 10 images in one sheet. This is in reference to the sheets where there are roughly 15+ small images, etc. You MAY NOT crop or edit older images not drawn by you that have 10+ in there to make it passable. There was a deadline for this, and if you missed it that's on you.
♦ Up to 3 Reoseans per an activity image, if there are more then it needs to be clearly mentioned in the image/literature entry description which Reoseans are hunting and which are not.
If extra reoseans are added, there may only be +3 for a total of 6 reoseans in the image - still, only 3 of those may be rolled for the hunt.
*Note you cannot have three reoseans in an image hunting and include another three questing, there may only be three activities rolled in a single image.
However, you can have 3 reosean's hunting in an image and up to 3 extra reoseans doing their Sustain PT in the image (just like if you've drawn sustain PTs for 3 reoseans hunting, the companions can redeem that image for hunt). Hunts cannot be combined with any other core images.
Literature Requirements
♦ Literature entries must be 800 words minimum.
♦ Just as with visual art, the Reosean needs to be actively present at least in 75% of the story and the prey needs to be present in 50% of the story.
♦ Lit entries need to have separated paragraphs instead of single continuous wall of text. It is incredibly difficult for the admins reviewing the entry to read a solid wall of text!
♦ As with art entries, lit entries can be denied in the case of low quality; no noticeable plot, using the same adjectives over and over again to make up word count, etc. Thesaurus.com is a fantastic resource if you're looking for words!

Prey List and Item Drops
There are several prey types a Reosean can hunt, depending on their Training rank.
Rank 1: Small Prey
A Reosean from Rank 1 can hunt any sort of Small prey across any region and any types. This preylist is quite extensive and free to pick from.
Rank 2: Large Prey
A Reosean from Rank 2 can hunt any sort of Small and Large prey across any region and any types. This preylist is quite extensive and free to pick from.
Rank 3: Legendary Prey
A Reosean from Rank 3 can hunt any sort of Small, Large and the newly included Legendary prey across any region and any types. These prey are added to the list once they have been hunted at least once in the Red Flag Hunts. Because these are specific prey items, players must adhere to the references linked within the prey doc for these creatures- different from the Small and Large prey which do not have any references or requirements.

Hunting RequirementsAs of 2023, training is now MANDATORY to begin hunting! Your Reosean can find more items if they have any of the additional bonuses below: Additional Bonus Items: - Owlcat/Beetle/Anji/Sembo/Kicuan/Pinniped/Gaellus +x for Political Status (+1 for Recognized, +2 for Exemplar, +3 for Noble, +4 for Paramount) +1 for Additional Reosean +1 for Guild Member +1 for Bonded Companion +1 for Hunter's Ale +1 for Hunter's Trophy Make sure to mention these in your hunting form! Similarly to CP, the Additional Reosean and Guild Member bonuses only apply if you do not own the Reosean! |
FamiliarsEach category of species has its own Familiar as seen in the prey list above! In order to use their bonuses you MUST be hunting one of the types they affect! CORRECT: Your Reosean is hunting an Orca, and your Sembo brings you back special Aquatic loot! INCORRECT: Your Reosean is hunting an Orca, and they have the Gaellus applied! Because the Orca is an Aquatic species, and not Mythical, the Gaellus will not bring back any loot. Owlcat and Dungbeetle have a 70% chance to bring back an owlpellet or a dungball, regardless of what type of creature you're hunting! |
