Classes

Reoseans get their first class through the Initial Class Quest (referred to as ICQ). This is a mandatory step in order to start the Questing activity.
There are an abundance of classes to choose from, each with their own skill tree as they progress through the line.

After the Initial Class has been selected and approved, it's time to push your Reosean even further! Their skills have been recognized and now they may apply for a High Class. There are two to choose from in each class line, make sure to choose wisely! Upon the High Class being accepted, your Reosean will receive their primary ability.

The Final stage of a Reosean's journey through the Class system is their Specialty Class!
This class is the Endgame and is vital for combat. Along with it is their secondary Reosean ability.

ICQ Perks

♦ Getting a low class allows Reoseans to start questing and collecting items.
♦ ICQ is the first step in building your Reosean the way you want them to be! After they complete the ICQ, they can then quest as their respective class and receive bonuses from it until they can approach learning one of their two High Class Tasks afterwards!

HCT Perks

♦ Getting a high class unlocks the opportunity to achieve a Specialty class and reach the very top of the rank.
♦ High Class Reoseans are allowed to participate in Advanced Quests and the Battles (PvE and PvP).
♦ Your Reosean will receive their Primary Class ability.

Prerequisites:
- Exemplar Status

- ICQ Completed

SCT Perks

♦ Congratulations, you can now become the very top of the ranks!
♦ Achieving a Specialty Class brings a spectrum of Stat updates. To see which stats change depending on your Specialty Class, please have a look at our Stat Calculator!
♦ Your Reosean will receive their Secondary Class ability.

Prerequisites:
- Paramount Status

- ICQ and HCT Completed

Your Class in Battle

Below is a breakdown of all WoR classes and how their class fits within the battle systems.

Abilities are not perfectly balanced-- we have attempted to balance them as much as possible. Some work best in solo content, while some are designed to be supportive of others in their party.

A Reoseans class determines how they contribute in battle, as well as their final statline.
Each class has unique additions to all stats, and an ability, which is separate from Skills.

Attacker

Attackers are known for their ability to hit, and hit hard. These classes are built around dealing damage to others. Their ability to take hits is less than a defender, and they will have next to no utility.

Attacker Class List: Soldier, Knight, Bounty Hunter, Beast Tamer, Pit Fighter, Berserker, Royal Drive, Chauffeur, Tactician, Privateer, Theurgist, Warlock, Assassin, Rogue, Shadow Dweller

Defender

Known for their ability to draw aggression from targets (enemies), Defenders are able to withstand more damage than the other two classifications. They may have some utility, and commonly rely on defense weapons for extra armour.

Defender Class List: Pioneer, Royal Guard, Sentinel, Warden, Spy

Utility

Defined by their ability to support the other two classifications, these classes contribute either through buffs to stats or direct healing. Some of their abilities will either buff just themselves, or the party as well.

Utility Class List: Emissary, Proxy, Diplomat, Ambassador, Adventurer, Peddler, Merchant, Mender, Battle Priest, Warlord, Farmer, Shepherd, Scout, Sailor, Apostle, Sorcerer, Priest, Cleric, Medic, Doctor

Class Rules

♦ Submissions are to be posted on DeviantART, Sta.sh or the World of Reos Lorekeeper!

♦ The art will be compared to the rest of the artist's gallery. It needs to be comparative in effort, not per se in style. Mods reserve the right to deny submissions that don't follow the listed rules and requirements. If your submission has been denied and you would like to dispute that denial, please note the group (not Reos-Empire, as we do not check those as often).
♦ You may draw your Reosean on any continent, unless the prompt requests otherwise.
♦ Classes which hunt a prey animal cannot be re-used for hunting entries.

♦ Only 3 Reoseans per an entry.
♦ As a CORE activity, this cannot be combined with an Quest/Hunt Activity. Other ARPG Creatures may NOT be featured in the submissions, and the submission MUST take place within the World of Reos Universe.

Images must be...

♦ Fullbody, colored, shaded, with a background, at least 500x500 in size.
♦ At least 75% (four bodily sections) of the Reoseans being judged for their training must be visible. Any companions not being judged for training must be at least 50% (three bodily sections) visible.
♦ If prey is required for the prompt, it must be at least 50% visible.
♦ Backgrounds should have at least 3 separate elements in them aside from the ground/sky. Clustered elements of the same type (such as many rocks stacked together) count as 1 element.
-- Correct Elements: Rocks, foliage, water, mountains, clouds, trees, moons, grass that is clearly separate from the ground (i.e. brown grass sticking out of snow) etc.
-- Incorrect Elements: Sun, the ground, grass that is just an extension of the ground, sky.
-- For an element to count, it must have some level of detail to it, meaning - meaning it needs some form of shading, lines, etc at the minimum; flat blobs of color will not count for elements. See the example to the right!
-- Stock textures copy-pasted over the image will not count for detail. The elements themselves must have some hand- drawn detail.
Picture
-- Stamp brushes are allowed, but if these are used as elements they must still follow the depth and texture rules above (ex. if you use a tree stamp brush, you will need to hand draw some detail onto it for it to count as an element).

♦ Reoseans should follow the laws of gravity; no floating Reoseans just to fit extras into the image.
♦ Reosean markings need to be recognizably placed and shaped in comparison to where they are on the vayron's import (ex. randomly placed blobs for merle will not be accepted, they don't have to be perfect but they should be in a similar size and shape to those on the import).
♦ 'Stick Figures' will not be accepted, some amount of muscle or joint definition should be visible. Reoseans must also at least have their core features visible, such as Eyes, Mouth, Paws, Markings and their identifiable traits (tail and ears)

Literature must be...

♦ At least 1000 words.
♦ Reosean must be actively present in 75% of the piece.
♦ Lit entries need to have separated paragraphs instead of single continuous wall of text. It is incredibly difficult for the admins reviewing the entry to read a solid wall of text!
♦ As with art entries, lit entries can be denied in the case of low quality; no noticeable plot, using the same adjectives over and over again to make up word count, etc. Thesaurus.com is a fantastic resource if you're looking for words!
